I am racing solo and finally made it to gold league.   If I opt out of racing this week will I still have my gold league status when I decide to race again?

Thanks for any help.

I know there are other solo racers and any tips will help.

Nope.  You drop a league for every week that you do not race.  Sad, but it is so still.  I suggest joining a coop that people shift in and out of regattas so as to rest when required.

Thanks for the reply.   I was in a coop for a very long time.   Well, since the coops began!  I was just a bit wore out from playing so much and thought I'd try solo.

I'm not playing as much and just wasn't sure if I should opt-out.   If I'm going down a level anyway, I may as well not opt-out and just do what I can.

Thanks again!

If you leave your co-op you lose it and would have to start all over from the bottom if you start a new one

I left my coop about 2 months ago.   I had started that one and was the leader, so  turned the leadership over to another member, then started a solo coop.

I managed to get to gold this week, only because I wanted the gold reward in the Yacht Club.    Smile

It's not easy to get level up when you are solo.  I have to work hard the first couple of days to make sure I'm in the top 3.  That's not easy with so few 135 pointers.

I can always do it again if I lose gold level - if there is something I want.

I feel your pain JustJan. My baby town is racing solo in the gold league.
It’s not easy . I’ve only managed to get to top position once. Most of the time I end up in 4th or 5th place even after finishing all 16 tasks in one day.
The competition is brutal. Not quite fair that a 100 days old town has to race against 100 + level towns.
I have to dump lots of tasks because my factories and trains are still not upgraded. Well, or hardly upgraded.
And the rewards from 5 regatta chests are just not worth the effort.

If you are a solo coop, you will drop down a level if you opt out.  Any week a coop has no one racing, it is dropped a league, even solo coops.

If you really want to race solo in Gold League and can do 16 tasks in one day, why not do a delayed start and wait til day 4 or 5? Day one you're going to be competing against players who spend a lot of tcash to be the first co-op to get to 1st place, so they can be high on the Leaderboard.

If getting 9 chests is a priority, I'm sure there are lots of 3 player co-ops (or bigger) who would love to have you on their team.

I congratulate you on getting to Gold League from scratch in 100 days!

P.S. With hopping now gone, why do players have baby towns? If I had two towns on different devices, I would have them in the same co-op most of the time in order to maximize helps. And, being a wanderer, I could use my baby town to stay in touch with my home co-op  players while I went walking.
