one person on my coop got 4x . . . just not fair . . . put us in competition with different game rules . . .
it's like running a marathon race but each player must use a different mode of transport: one must walk, the other must use a motorbike and the other a horse . . . who do you think'll win?
Mine is currently saying I have 2x. However the points are doubled as I collect them and then the total doubles again after completion. BUT when the points are actually added to my running total it is only double. Ie 280, not the 560 it says I’m getting when I get to market.
so you think its a glitch showing the 4x but actually when checked only getting 2x? that sounds more like something playwreck would do . . . I'll check with her to see if her math is adding right.
this is exactly what is happening for me. I jumped on here to see if it is happening with others. Event says 2x. I'm getting 2x for each vehicle. Then 2x again on the total when the points are tallied at the end (for a total of 4x), but when the points show up in the progress bar for both the spin wheel and competition, it's reduced by half back to 2x. So I think there is likely a glitch at the end total screen of each run where it is showing the total points double, but shouldn't be, and isn't actually reflected in the points awarded.
In sum...it's working as intended I think at the end...but just in a super weird and misleading way.
OH NO! I think 2nd place in my competition just figured out Lucky Towns...either that or they've got the x4 glitch! Or both! I turned around and that person went from 3,000 points to 8,000...I'm at 23,000 so not too scared but I'm going to start scooting right along again...
I logged out for a while and now the end total has stopped showing as double the double, haha.
I guess big brother is watching.
I also got three 18 point games in a row (doubled to 36 but still) and no chests with the lucky town thing.

@Lynaea, which town are you using? I found one that while giving me easy towns, wasn't too great with points and had no chests. I've had amazing success with the leader of the co-op 83rd on the GBL leaderboard. I always get 194 (doubled now to 388) runs and a chest that often has extra fuel or tcash or ingots (rarely tools).

Have you guys noticed that the points are not being adding up properly? Previously, I was getting double points during the game and after it ended, the points doubled again, total 4 times. Now, I see the the points show 4 times but add up only half of it!

You might also try co-op searching for #SNHMNF and visit beenut butter — the third on the list. This is the one I've been using lately. BTW, occasionally you will get an 18-point run or even the regular rush-hour setup after a long pause/relaunching, but usually you get the "easies" from this Lucky Town. (Enjoy.)

Ok. I've often found sticking to one for a run of 25 fuel nets best results, unless you find the town just isn't working. Switching often gives me a 18 point run, no chest. Also , when I leave my town to help people, sometimes when I come back I'll get a hard multi-lane run before lucky towns work again. Maybe these tips will help you!

Lastly, my testing till now it is possible that it is not "Lucky Town" but "Lucky Co-Op", i.e. when switching between members of the co-op it seems to give a "lucky" benefit. But am not not sure the mechanics I am finding are correct.

Oh My Goodness! I just did my final spin of the event ... At level 10,200!! I never would have gotten anywhere near this amount without lucky towns. So thank you thank you to everyone who posted directions to good towns. It made this event both really fun and really lucrative. I appreciate that!
