The Need for Seeds event has started and you know what that means, right? Yep, the new complaint department is now open. (Good luck to my fellow addicts.)

I have been playing the #83 option — getting single lanes, free gifts and 194 scores. Once I did get an 18-point run. (Can't say why.)
Same here! On the other hand, it usually happens to me that the #83 option stops being the lucky town, and I move to the #85. And so, I alternate between one town and another. So far, it hasn't failed. And as @just_a_minute said, because of this trick, the game becomes fun! Thanks, Mic
I gave regatta Global Leader #83 a try and here are my results (no crashes): 1st Run - 18 points, no prizes 2nd Run - 194 points, easy, plus a chest (coins) 3rd Run - 194 points, easy but no prizes 4th Run - 194 points, easy, plus a chest (1 bronze ingot) 5th Run - 194 points, easy, plus chest (1 hammer) 6th Run - 194 points, easy, plus chest (1 topaz gem) 7th Run - 18 points, no prizes 8th Run - 194 points, easy, plus chest (1 red bucket) 9th Run - 18 points, no prizes 10th Run - 194 points, plus a chest (4 Tcash)
Even though I've had some bummer 18 point runs, overall, I'm doing really well with this and having fun, so thank you very much (again) for the tip!
Now I have a new problem... I'm about to move into first place and given all my trains are upgraded, I'd really prefer second place so I can get the booster instead of the train upgrade. Good problem to have LOL!
I'll edit to add my next runs and let you know if the luck runs out. Just for fun

I understand about wanting to place second or third for a booster. Your chances are usually determined by those around you. But if they don't know about Lucky Towns and you want to get the most from the Prize Wheel, well, it is going to be practically impossible not to finish first. Too bad Al the Algorithm didn't give you another set of rewards for first place. (He treats me differently when it comes to zoo decks, profile pictures, etc.—and now, I hope, factory upgrades.)
@just_a_minute It's the same for me, I'm in first place by many points (it is clear that those who are in 2nd and 3rd place do not read Teddy&Becky, UTF or Reddit), and I'd rather not be (all my trains are upgraded). But I'm happy in spite of that, because the chests have given me a lot of coins, a lot of materials to expand the barn, gems, tcash, etc). @Light of the World~Emily Emily, don't delay the start. It's worth playing it now for this last thing I'm saying. The prizes you get with the spins of the wheel are not worth it. At 4500 points I got the profile picture ( I never use them), and the next prize will be at 5400 points. @Mic Miller And Mic is right, impossible not to finish first if the others doesn’t know about “Lucky towns”. And the last thing... I didn't spend TCash because I almost didn't crash! A MIRACLE!).
Agree with @Chorilandia! Don't delay, play today I haven't had this much fun playing Township since... well... since Cash Splash stole my joy and it had not returned! It's actually making me so happy I've forgotten all about the stupid Big Spend Adventure.
The chests are small but really add up. You rarely crash because it is so easy. One other perk.... just don't have to wait an ETERNITY for a safe opening! Makes the game go from boring to fast paced. That's a huge bonus.
Here's an update... I am still using Global Leader 83's town for "luck". FWIW, I've noticed if I close down and leave the game for a while, when I come back I get an 18 point run.
11. 18 points, no chest 12. 194, chest (1 nail) 13. 194, chest (1 nail) 14. Got inpatient and crashed! But it would have been a 194 + chest run 15. 194, chest (2 TNT) 16. 194, chest (5k coins) 17. 194, chest (5k coins) 18. 194, chest (3 Tcash) 19. 194, chest (gold ingot) 20. 18, no chest 21. 194, chest (4.5k coins) 22. 194, chest (5 fuel cans) 23. 194, chest (5 fuel cans) 24. Oops! crashed :/ but would have been a 194 + chest 25. 194, chest (4.7k coins)

I started and it's GREAT! I'm in first by quite a lot and have gotten lots of great chest prizes. Getting better at getting those 194 "perfect" runs. If there's a 2-3x point day in the offing, us "Lucky Towners" are going to hit the ball out of the park. I'm virtually guaranteed of 150+ points each time. I'll have the profile pic before tomorrow is over, I'm pretty much sure, and at this rate I might actually start getting decent prizes from the wheel. @Mic Miller, do you know if there is an average point value at which you start getting the really great prizes, like the tcash? I might be able to get back some of what the locust (read: Big Spend Adventure) hath eaten.
This is the happiest I've been with the mini-games since they put in the energy-earning ceilings that took the fun out of stocking up energy and then entering on the last day and whupping the competition.
Now I want to know, WHO ON EARTH FOUND THIS OUT?!?! He/she's got a lot of people who are probably really thankful!
Also, for those who are curious, I've been using GBL 83 leader as my lucky town for quite a while and have had no "bum" runs.
Is it the position 83 that works? Or that town. Yesterday I picked town 85 which worked. But over the course of the day that town dropped off the leader board. I kept their town code and searched for them in the evening. Then overnight that town quit working.
So once again is it positions 83 or 85? Towns in those positions will keep changing.

If you go to the regatta GBL leaderboard, and pick the leader of the co-op in position 83, then that person is a "lucky town." I think the leader of GBL 85 is also a lucky town. And apparently co-op #gg3u9s "Azmira" (or something like that) is a lucky town that gives you a chest in the first crossing. I've been using GBL co-op 83 with great success, that gives me a chest in the 4th crossing. Also, I think there's someone in the GBL 2nd place co-op...I'll look into that because if there is, that saves OODLES of scrolling.
Hope that helps!
EDIT: According to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoqfbXQFfNA&ab_channel=Townshipunofficial, the current GBL #2 co-op, member MIC is a lucky town. I will try that out next time my energy recharges.
@Light of the World~Emily Hi, Emily! I know the question is for Mic, but regarding the TCash, in my experience (I'm about to reach 5400 points), they appeared from the beginning. They don't appear as often as coins, but they do appear. It seems to me that the gifts in the chests, unlike the prizes you get for spinning the wheel, are random. I got ingots, material to upgrade the barn, materials for land expansion, gems, mining tools. That's great! And I wonder the same as you do... how to find a "lucky city". For me, who know nothing about programming, it remains a mystery. And a suggestion: why don't you subscribe to Teddy and Becky's forum? The only requirement is to be a leader or co-leader of a coop. Greetings

Great observations.
I'd love to subscribe to Teddy and Becky's, but I don't have/don't want Facebook. Therefore, I'm reduced to whatever I can glean from y'all here.
And technically the question was for anyone, I just noticed that despite all the t-cash spenders / hackers, Mic made it on the global leaderboard for this event and thus probably spun the wheel more times than a lot of us. Congrats Mic!
...still mad when I see 500,000 points on this event...legit not possible...
From the inception of the prize wheels, has anyone ever landed on the big jackpot? I’ve landed right next to it multiple times, but can’t recall any poster on this forum nor the official one posting about hitting it big.
The lucky towns I used yesterday from Past Season regatta leaderboard don’t seem to work today. I tried the event global leaderboard and found 83 and 85 worked yesterday but not today, but the player names also looked different. Does anyone remember those two town names were? I did find that player JJ (who had dropped from 87 to 90 to 92 this afternoon) did work as a lucky town, as of a minute ago.
One thing I’ve noticed is that I don’t seem to get the stoplights when using the lucky town trick.
