I did search the forums and the FAQ on Township, but could not get an answer in regard to how one transfers or syncs their game status on two Windows 10 devices as of the latest iteration of the game. If this question has been answered could someone please redirect me to the post or page?
I am trying to figure what options (apart from FB) are available to Win 10 Townshippers to sync on various devices. PC to Laptop in my case.
1) If both Win 10 devices are using the same Windows credentials, does the Win 10 Store also hold user game data? 2) Can the save game files be copied over? How is this done?

@Lucky Acres, as far as I 100% know Facebook is the only certain way to transfer...although if you have the same Microsoft account on each computer I would assume that the Microsoft store would give you the same version of the game. It's worth a shot anyways. I know my mom synced two kindle games using just the same Amazon account. Why not a Microsoft account? (Well, plenty of reasons, but ) I also think there is a way to backup game data, and presumably manually transfer it. @Darkwood PC would know...
Hi Gary, I ask you something simple. If I search in my iOS device a coop or a city of a Windows player (not using the name, but the code), it could be that it tells me that they don't exist? Does this happen because of iOS/Windows incompatibility or because the city/coop really doesn't exist? Thanks for your answer. I wish you and your wife Happy New Year (I haven't received her resume yet).

I can answer that one.
Currently iOS and Windows, while synced content-wise, are not synced to the point that iOS players can join a Windows player's co-op or be neighbors with them, etc.
Hopefully that will be an eventual update, I believe that it's been done for Mac/iOS. Windows will hopefully be not too far behind.

Hi @Darkwood PC Happy New Year and thanks for taking the time to answer me. My wife and I are we are up in the mountains, so i was only able to check these forums today.
Before departing on our weekend break, I tried to the Windows Store solution before reading your response, but it did not work. As we were pressed for time to get on the road, I was also not able to check if the same login credentials are used. Will do so on our return home. If you say it works for you on Win 10 then it should work for all Windows 10 users.
I solved it by connecting to her account to FB. My wife did not want to do this, but she relented in the end. Township is "addictive"
Anyhow, your response here will also be a great help for everyone asking the same question in the future!
I started out with Township on a Ipad4. Just a few days ago i wanted to transfer progress to an Android device and my Win10 laptop. Transfer of progress to the Android device thru FaceBook went easy and i was given the choice which version to install. Transfer to the Win 10 device appeared to be a no go. Any solution?
I did find a work around that may be of interest to other users as well. Drawback is that you cannot keep syncing automatically with the Win10 device and other devices. Requires a jailbroken Ios device then you can find the relevant Township settings, notably, the local progress saves. those can be copied to the windows installation. It does require you to know how to find your way in file structures in both Win10 and Ios. It at least gets you started in Windows with an actual stage of progress. But from there the Windows installation will go its own way.
I have an iPad4 running iOS 10.3.4 for which a jailbreak is easily available. I know that jailbreaks are also the available for iOS up to 12..... Not sure about later iOS. In a jailbroken iOS thing you can find the folder where Township stores local data. That's a local Township folder containing among other things a subfolder 'documents'. Problem is that the Township local data folder on the I-thing is not easily recognised, because it's name is a number of Hex data. I copied one subfolder, called 'downloads' from the iPad to a temp folder on the Win10 machine. Furthermore, apart form 'downloads' the documentsfolder contains files like:
Those Gameinfo files and other xml files define your current status as it appears. Copy them to your temporary Win10 folder.
On your Win10 machine you will find the Township equivalent local data folder in C:/users/{your username}/appdata/local/packages/PLRWORLD...../Local state/Documents. I copied the contents of the Ipad folder 'downloads' to the equivalent folder 'download' in Win10 and the other files (gameinfo.* etc) to that documents folder.
Result: First start of Township in Win10 not really OK. It starts but certain elements are missing. Second start: OK. Logging into FaceBook, I get a choice between 1) the basic setup (level 3) as it was and 2) My actual level, which is 45. Choose the latter and you're up to date.
I am not realy a serious gamer, but this is a nice game. Part of the fun is figuring out how such a transfer of level could work.
