It’s not that ROC is that bad. It’s not really. If you have any kind of a Coop at all, you will be on the Podium every time and pocket the Tcash. Other than that first week, the tasks are not too repetitive and you can team them so that the whole event is not a resource drain. It does provide opportunities for some chat and teamwork. “I will do half the peppers.” Let’s split the mining 3 ways.” Etc.
The main issue with ROC is that it is just not Hopping Week. That inter-seasonal week was what the Hoppers lived for. It was a chance to game the system every 5 weeks. Hopping became a band of brothers and sisters with a sense of comradery and indeed it expanded your circle of friends beyond your Coop. It was not just about winning more stuff.
So, compared to the Hopping Inter-seasonal week, ROC becomes quite banal for the Hopper. To what shall we liken ROC then? Might as well have some fun with this and who knows, maybe Playrix scans our Forum. To a Hopper it is like kissing your sister. ROC is like eating an original Morton’s Salisbury Steak TV dinner with those green peas. To a Hopper Roc is like a 16 year old boy whose sweetheart informed him her parents will be away Sunday afternoon but is then forced to attend a John Phillips Souza band recital with his parents and grandmother.
Let’s show the Hoppers we feel their pain and feel free to insert your metaphor for what ROC is to the Hopper.
