First gift - 55,000 (T3, 1 glass, 1 amber) Second gift - 270,000 (3 crate coupons, 5 sticks of dynamite, 1 hammer, 1 emerald) Third gift - 550,000 (T20, Shortcut booster, 2 gold ingots, 2 rubies, 3 bricks for Dublin)
This one goes quickly especially if you are working hard on experiment tasks which is how I will do it. Unlike some on the FB group that buy and sell decorations to finish it in 10 minutes. Too much work IMO.
There are technical and logistical as well as pragmatic reasons this idea will not work. What will work though is to hide gifts/rewards "inside" community buildings and even then the developers would have to screen players by level and possession of CBs.
Suppose there is a scavenger hunt list of tasks that lead to a chance to pick one CB to see if it contains a gift/reward. Hit or miss. Do more tasks for yet another chance and so on. Tasks would be normal and without excessive burdens of time and other obstructions to the "flow of fun." Each task list can be a set of tasks that contain clues/hints that can/will "point/guide" the player to an associated/appropriate "gift-bearing" CB.
(Just some hypothesizing on my part while waiting to feed the cows for the final ProfVE reward set.)
um, there was a game i used to play before they shut it down that actually did have gifts around your island (during special events) so it could be coded but you're probably right that it would be too hard/complex for a lot of devices to handle or in conjunction with the coding on this game
we also had a scavenger hunt once as well . . . it was more set up as a mini event where you collect x from the fields then fill x orders etc etc and the tasks were set up as a riddle to figure out what you had to do next . . . that was fun
I liked the idea of a few special treasure chests just scattered about our towns on any open space or sidewalk paving (any square where we could place a decoration or building) or maybe just on sidewalks. Most towns are crowded enough that it would take some hunting to find them all. They already have code for generating the townsfolk and code for scattering chests in the mine, so I don’t think it would be that complicated to add.
Iirc we got 3 a day in Paradise Bay and it worked flawlessly even on ancient phones and early Kindle devices. The prizes weren’t always very fabulous though, about the equivalent of one slab sometimes.
I don’t like it at all. We don’t need extra visual clutter and it separates the post from the sig way too much.
I know the admin are enamored of playing with their new toy, but they need not turn on every possible bell and whistle. Seeing the same pointless, squished image over and over and over in every thread is not helpful. Clean and simple is way better.
