Seems like everyone is trying to figure out just tasks we will be asked to do for 1000 Tcash! Barn upgrades will be necessary for all the goods it will take for Professor Verne, the Regatta and Cash Splash tasks. So far, the Professor has been easier than expected. We have been waiting for the new ongoing tasks. Trying not to overthink about any of the events. Industrial Boom and Double Rewards are also peeking around the corner
I am not angry...I am livid 🤬. Sent Playrix a message and told them, got the insulting 5Tcash, became livid again. Not a good move on their part imo. But, they probably figure that those who have played for years will continue to do so because we are used to Playrix being, well, Playrix.
This is a really bad public relations move by Playrix and/or more evidence that Playrix is moving to close Township to move on to other projects. They closed the official forums, have had a series of unpopular changes, and now this. I have unfortunately seen this happen with other long-running games that are popular but coming to the end of the development lifecycle. I hope that is not the case here but coming weeks will tell. My other conspiracy theory is that Playrix is trying to chase off high-level players by actively frustrating them into leaving the game.
Either way this is not a good look. Helen Keller could have seen the mess that this is causing.
Coin tasks are awesome. You just have to have coin to make coin. Buy the big mansion and sell it for 75k at a time. You lose half your coin but it makes for an easy regatta win. I applied same strategy to cash splash...plus i sold about 50 trees and ton of flowers and bushes i had in storage. The developers have to know about that strategy, right? I was surprised to see they were practically giving 1000 tcash away yesterday. Im happy...but feel bad for those that got screwed when they pulled it.
I think these thoughts sometimes, but then I think these things might be more likely to chase off the newer players who havent invested as much time and money. Ive left many games during the beginning stages, Fishdom and Gardenscapes among them, because something happened to trigger my, 'This is not worth it, I'm not spending anymore time on this crap!' Wallet Protection System (tm). At level 99 (not that high, but high for me!) and leader of a pretty good co-op, Im still opening that wallet and not considering leaving...yet.
I thought they tested software. Didn't they realize technical issues before rolling this out. It was "advertised" long long ago. Plenty of time to think it through. Player theory will be and probably is that they were handing out too many 1,000 Tcash prizes and saw $ flying out the window. It had to STOP for them. This does not speak well for their company and their software developers.
I agree @Casey0987 this does not reflect well on them at all. And yes most players comments I have seen tells me the majority do not believe the reason from Playrix that it was technical difficulties.
It does appear they did have a genuine technical error with the heli orders paying out to much coin for orders, however I believe they could have handled this much better.
They had multiple issues. I think the major issue was that the event was not not changing tasks from level to level. We were not supposed to get coins after coins after coins. If each new level had switched to earning XP, or harvesting crops, or collect from factory, or other tasks like it was originally described and meant to perform, nobody could have sailed thru just helping copters and selling decorations.
IMO there clearly really was a technical problem with the event.
Still, how do they release an event without even doing enough basic testing to notice that?

I've seen this too and the game in question, once this cascade started, was closed about 6 months later. Myself and a bunch moved over from there to here when we saw this happening. Would hate to see this game go down too . . .
imo, they should have left it run through the way they put it out . . . then think of all the happy players when they worked so hard for that 1000 TC which is really nothing to them, it is digital, it doesn't cost them anything but to do this is such bad PR . . . then change the next one
I agree. It is just digital money. It would have been better to just let it run its course and keep the players happy. I thought it was going to be different tasks each round and was surprised when it was coin after coin task. But they never should have pulled it after people invested time, boosters, and decos and then got robbed of the big prize. And then find out that some platforms were allowed to finish. And then get $5TC compensation. Three big 'ol kicks in the gut. Not fun!!
The senior staff probably panicked when they all got to work yesterday morning and pulled the plug. Is their HQ out of Cali? Cause it would make sense they got in about 8:30-9:00, reviewed stats, panicked, and pulled the plug entirely before making any rational decisions.
I didn’t accept the 5Tcash. Many people will be blowing up the support function for weeks just to be spiteful lol
They will undoubtedly introduce the event again after tweaking it so revenue generated by selling decorations and items from the barn will not qualify as qualifying income to complete the event.
