Back in ancient times the landscape of Township was lifeless and without form. It was a solo game and there was only one place for fellowship and chat amongst the players. This was the Township Forum and many friendships were forged there. Graylady was moderator in those days and it was a rough and tumble place she managed.
Then, a flash of light smote the darkness in the land with the announcement of Co-ops! What?! What is a Co-op? In no time alliances began to form on the Forum itself. We all watched as Goods Galore Emporium emerged. Ralph and Nana were the driving force of this super Co-op. On the Android side another rival Co-op came into being which was the Mayetteville Mercantile. Graylady, Boo, Cobalt, and many other notables spent time in the Mercantile.
Just as we were getting acclimated to Co-ops the Regatta was added. Ahhh, the Regatta! Now Co-ops had a reason for being other than chat. And with the Regatta came the ”off” week. Initially the off week was just that. But fertile minds were at work and one in particular, Garvamatic soon championed Wooden League Zombie Racing on the Forum. In this, you and your friends joined a race in synchronization and raced against each other with strange made up rules each week. It was spontaneous fun combustion.
Playrix could not have a week with no money to be made and soon we were served the Inter-seasonal Week. The “Off” Week was now structured with chests and Co-op goals and rewards. This soon ushered in Hopping which spelled the doom of many Coops. It was a divisive force for some Co-ops but did create a band of brothers and sisters that lived for that Inter-seasonal week. Life was good. Friendships outside of your Co-op box were born each week.
But then Playrix and their band of Blue Meanie Minions said “Nay Nay, this Inter-seasonal Week makes not enough money, it shall not stay!” And henceforth the “Off” week became the Race of Champions referred to hereafter as the ROC. The Hoppers howled, those that played it the first time growled. ROC is a week of grinding play for a Tcash carrot that takes your resources away and has you questioning yourself by the end of the week “Why am I doing this?”
Nothing stays the same. If Hopping is gone, remember the good times you had and keep in touch with your Hopping friends. There is only one thing you can do that has any chance of changing this state of affairs. Do not spend any money on the game during the ROC.
