Art Voyage Regatta

Anyone else not able to dump tasks or start one? I have only been able to dump one task so far after numerous attempts.

We are in silver due to some readjusting of players, but we've been gold for a year.  We only had 8 teams showing on our board and all of them had 15 racers like us.  We ended up in 5th and now we are discussing more adjustments, like requiring a minimum of 5 tasks or restricting racers who do 1 or 2 tasks and dont help others.  We've never cared about the regatta that much but I get the feeling that a few of our newer players might want us to be more aggressive.  Its interesting to finally talk about it, maybe we can discuss getting more organized if the RoC comes back.

Just checking I understood correctly that your co-op was demoted having placed 5th because there were only 8 boats racing???

If so would love to be stood next to the server blowing a gasket on how to treat a boat in silver finishing third out of 5.....promote/demote feedback loop.

New blood can rejevenate and re-enthuse a comfy co-op, but in general it's up to the newbie to fit in, not for the old deal-breaker seadogs to learn new tricks.

That said, anyone just doing a couple of tasks, unless brand new to racing, is hurting the team rather than helping it.

No, sorry, Jay, I didnt mean that.  We've been in silver for the last 2 regattas.  We got rid of some nonplayers and I restricted a few more, and at first it seemed great.  We stayed in gold and had easier tasks, it was fun!  Then we had a bad week and dropt to silver when 4 players stayed opted in but only did 1 task each.  I know they hurt us but we dont have any task requirements, and we have decided not to add any,  so I cant do anything about that.  I only posted to say that this race we only had 7 other teams on our board and they all had exactly 15 active racers like we did and I dont think Ive seen that before.

Looks like the regattas are back to filling all the lanes. Still looking out to the horizon for glitches. (I don't think these are M&Ms, Cuddz.)

Thanks for clarifying dnana. The old adage about bringing horses to water but can't make them drink springs to mind.  Trust you have friends in gold you can visit on Monday for the yacht club.

Haha, and I have no idea what that means!  My friends are in my co-op, Im not a hopper.
