A Notion just asked me if a major Windows release is coming and Playrix is waiting for it. This current OS is about to turn four years old. It could explain the lack of communication if MS has them in a NDA.
It would appear they are indeed working to eventually release an update. What Mic says makes a lot if sense, but.. you would think they could have done an update in the interim. It has been 6 months, and though they state there are problems, they have had long enough to sort them out. Time will tell.. fingers crossed a major update is on the horizon for both MS and Playrix.
Another one of my Notions is wondering if the Windows development is being done for Windows Core which would/could allow syncing across all types of Windows devices thus substantially increasing player numbers. If this happens, players with obsoleted hardware will have to scramble to get back in the game.
As Gary says: "We will just have to wait and see."
Sorry Gary (and any other Windows players) but to me that just sounds like a typical Playrix automated response. Must be so frustrating for you guys. I really hope they'll either do something, or at least have the guts to say they're not going to do anything.

I was kind of thinking that, too. I do see there could be reasons for holding off any significant development at present, but it wouldn't have taken any significant new programming to at least get rid of the snow.
This reminds me so much of the weeks before Paradise Bay announced their closure. Just silence, then special events stopped, and in the end they left that island covered with snow too.
I doubt very much they are planning on integrating the two platforms. The Windows version is so far behind the portable version I think a lot of players would have a hard time adjusting. They would be going from having Regattas, IS & the odd event to having multiple events simultaneously. Then there'd be the zoo and other changes that would be like starting a different game all together. Remember, the portable version got these changes gradually to where it is now. If they were planning on integrating them they would have been doing some updates to bring the two games closer together by now. Just my thoughts and fyi i have one game in each.

I’m not a windows player, but for those that are I really hope it isn’t the end. Though I can’t see them having the guts to say/do anything to appease those affected. The days are gone when Playrix communicated with their players.
Cuddz did they ever really communicate with the players?
I've did Alpha's and Beta's for some gaming companies. This is the least known presence I've ever seen. In game or on the message boards. Even after the games went Gold most of the ones I worked with still kept an obvious in game presence.
They did in the beginning, and when the forum opened it was moderated by Playrix staff We had in forum competitions, but they migrated to FB eventually. Queries were answered by actual Playrix staff. But it didn’t last very long. Anna tried for a while but soon gave up as well. I got the impression that forum members were using the pm ability to ask fir help instead if going in game. But that’s just my impression, so I could be wrong. Reporting issues in game was also a lot easier back then...no town bot lol. So they may have got fed up..who knows. It just steadily got worse til they weren’t there at all.
Thank you for your reply and patience. My sincere apologies for the delayed response. Due to the reasons related to the COVID-19 coronavirus, we're operating with a limited team. The response time of our support specialists may be longer than usual.
We really value your opinion and I completely understand your concerns. Unfortunately, the winter theme has stayed in Township a bit longer than expected. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts and we understand your frustration.
We're doing our best to ensure our new updates are released on all platforms simultaneously. Unfortunately, updates for Windows are usually slightly delayed due to technical reasons. But don’t worry, our developers are already working on it, and the Spring theme should come to your Township with the new update
You can always check our official store pages for more info about upcoming updates: - Microsoft Store: https://plrx.me/4cZz
If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to contact us again. I wish you a lovely day. Stay safe and happy gaming!

Hi Gary,
is this a 2nd reply to your report or a next one?(and what is the strange "heading"?)
Apart from mentioning the winter/spring-problem (we're in summer meanwhile ), it looks pretty much the same as the other reply you got, no?
And they would be working on a totally different update anyway, as the Windows version is so much behind... That answer still doesn't make much sense.
But at least they try to keep you playing the game. If they wanted to stop the Windows version, I'd think it would be silly not to make (persuade) the players switch to another version before that. And if they just dump the W-version from one day to the next, many would be so angry about their wasted money that they would not follow then. Crossing fingers for you

I actually took the persons name out. not sure why all the bold makers popped up I do try to hold out hope. Since Windows is where I play 99% of my games. The one thing I find the most hopeful is that they still have the Windows support working and not the bot like on the mobiles.
I hope so too Darkwood. I really enjoy playing my new Township on my Win10 pc..I'm up to level 30 now. I had forgotten all of the fun I had building my ipad game

And the difference in screen size from my Kindle town is awesome I can see things. Let me know if you need friends on the PC or mobile. My wife plays on iPad and PC also.

When King shut down Paradise Bay game, the support people were actually the last to go. To me, the best news is that she specifically said they do have programmers working on the Windows game. If they were discontinuing the Windows version, would they still be investing effort on it?
