Can anyone tell me how anyone can fly for 19000 ft in aerial challenge? Or even 60000feet? Is there some trick to it, that I haven’t figured out.? The best I’ve ever got was just on 3000 and that was a one off. I do all the upgrades.
You're way up on me. My best is under 1400 feet. Still, I'm nearly done with the fifth goal, which is all I usually care about.
I have heard said that this game is much easier playing on an Android device than ios. Someone who plays the same game on both posted in the old forum that on Android, the field of view is larger and the plane moves slower, giving much better chance to adjust the plane up or down to catch the next battery. I don't know if this is universal or just a result of those two particular devices.
Thanks Mayfield..interesting. I play on iOS iPad...plane moves way too fast to adjust up or down for batteries..so I’ll just have to accept I will never win this one....like most of the challenges. You either spend a fortune in town cash or you are playing on a device that gives you an advantage it would seem, to win. Even so, 19000 is vastly different. It’s like that agricultural challenge last week...the person who won in my grouping accumulated 113,000 points in that, where I managed only 15,000...even though I play a lot, was harvesting as quickly as the game would allow on plants growing, and was using quick grow booster....so tell me how someone can get over eight times what I worked hard to get? I always have the feeling that there are ways of circumventing the system to win these things...and that there’s a circle of people in the know as to how...
In this event so far my score is 5103, I have done the five goals and then gave up for now. I play on iPad and I manage to adjust most of the time, but I do miss some batteries. I’m not sure how the game determines how long the batteries last though, I noticed on one run I got way more batteries then the previous run, but yet didn’t fly as far, so who knows.
I completed all personal goals, but I was still only about halfway upgraded at that point. Now I am about 80% upgraded and I just hit my personal best of 2,751 which put me into 3rd place in my competition group. First place is 6,361 ft. Second is 5,183 ft.
The event rewards are strange/backwards to me as a higher player who already has all three trains at 50% off. The second place finish awards me the rare "shortcut" trains booster which I want so badly. So I guess if I happen to have an extreme run of luck and end up anywhere near 6k feet I will be taking a glorious nose dive to avoid coming in first.
I've consistently found a "battery field" full of batteries somewhere around the 1,200 ft mark. It's luck for me - whether I am at the right height to sweep them all up and keep flying for another thousand feet until the next battery field comes along or if I miss it (or don't make it there) and I'm grounded. Sometimes I feel like if I pass 3 batteries I can't get to the whole flight is doomed because they don't come around as often in the beginning.
I have flown high, middle and low. Flown on my IPad and also on my android phone. Flew about the same each time. I figure that one of my next flights will have to go on pure luck to get farther.
I was first flying rooftop height, where I could count on hitting a few batteries, but only enough to score somewhere between about 1100 and 1400 feet.
I found flying fairly high was the level where I was able to hit those clusters of multiple batteries.
Well I was in 1st place with my 5103, but someone flew over 6,000 can’t remember exact number, And now flying with the sane style, height etc..I can’t get more than 3,000 and 9 out if 10 are just 14-1500. Still flying through the clusters, so as I said before, no5 sure how battery life is worked out. It appears we get one really good run, the rest are average, but we will see.
That's how this event has always worked for me. After I get some upgrades done, nearly all of my runs are within a couple hundred feet (or whatever the unit is) of each other. But every time we've had this event, I've gotten one fluke run much farther just by chance finding a level with a lot of batteries. I usually get one more run later that's pretty close, but always, my top score comes only about half way thru the event.
