The Blossom boulevard event gives Regatta tasks too. Collect 880 flowers for a 135 task. How many tasks would you do? Or do you find collecting the balloons easier in terms of Regatta task?
I find the balloons one pretty easy. I like the fact that if you fall and don't pay to continue you don't lose any of the balloons you have already collected in the game
How does the flowers one work, for your task do all of the flowers you collected count if you fall, or does it only count the ones you get to keep in the game?
If there is 'need to collect such a big amount', (read: no pressure) on collecting balloons or in this case blossoms, than I enjoy the game too.
I only did the first level to 'unlock' the event tasks. Just got home from work and started on the race to collect the 880.
After using Tcash 3, 4, 7 in a row sometimes, here is where I am task wise.
The event status tells me I am here.
It counts all the flowers, even after falling, that at least is a relief.
I thought it was a mistake too @Elvengirl but then I realized "Didn't we had such amount in last year's blossoming event too?" I have to search in the other forum if that was the case.
This is one of those events where I find myself playing to finish in 2nd or 3rd place for the rewards. Why a common booster (i.e.: Super-harvest) is offered as part of the first-place reward set is beyond me. You would think only special (purple-colored) boosters merit enticement status for a seven-day effort. I must admit, it makes the event more exciting for me as long as I remember to tell Google to wake me near the end.
Unfortunately this is less of a jumping to rooftops and more jumping & falling off rooftops event for me. I’m leaving the event regatta tasks alone, as I might take weeks to complete!

I got there in the end. And although I didn't count my green flaps exactly, it is clear to me that these fences and gates were about he most expensive decorations compared to their 'normal' price.
My co-op leader had that same struggle and while more event tasks keep appearing on the board there is only one action on them: Push the bin button!
This is such an easy event. I wish I could teleport over and show you how easy. I would have you completing your runs in quicktime and on your way to being bored out of your gourd.
This is the event I hate the most. I haven't even cracked getting into the competition phase of the event. I tried in the beginning but when it was apparent I wouldn't be able to complete a rooftop run, I said forget it. So no rewards for me and I really don't care.
I just don't like this type of side game at all. Give me a match-3 type of game any day.
I don’t mind this event, I can easily do the run without falling. What I have noticed is the further I get into this the less balloons appear. When first starting there would be 8 to 10 balloons, I actually got 12 one time. However there is now 6 to 8 balloons and on one run I only had 5.
I am staying in 2nd place because I prefer the upgrade coupon to the crop coupon.
I really like this event. I have developed a method of jumping where I never fall. For the non-moving roof tops, I aim for a fairly high arch with the tail end pointing towards the far right corner of the landing building. It works every time if I take the time to ensure I've lined it up this way, even the tiny building tops! I never rush and don't I am willing to miss out on a double point booster if it means I can't do my method.
For the moving platforms I gather up some patience and wait for the platform to move to it's farthest left spot where it pauses for a second. The first time it does I line up my aim with the method above. Then I wait for it to come back a second time and then release.
I think patience = success in this event
I am around 1,500 balloons now and the one thing I don't like is I seem to get fewer and fewer balloons in a single run. At the lower levels I was seeing 9-11 and now I frequently get only 2-5.
I really liked this event, though I don't do regattas. Things I liked about it include the fact that you don't lose the balloons if you lose the round (but I didn't realize this until I'd played a bunch of games so I paid to continue a few times when I was at the very end and fell. Very irritating as I wouldn't have paid if I'd have realized that earlier). But I also like that you get those little extra lottery rewards for collecting a certain number of flowers. I earned quite a bit of tcash from those. But what I was most happy about?
Generally I don't play event games, like this one, too hard. But, this one had the potential to give me a significant enough reward that I did, so I had to ignore my trains. They were dumping too much in my barn, and not the items I needed since I was very close to my next barn upgrade (hence the almost full barn, constantly). So I was resigned to working on my barn upgrade, again, after I finished the event. But...those lottery boxes, as well as, the few free 3 tcash boxes that open every once in a while, gave me ALL the barn upgrade supplies I was missing, so I got my barn upgrade from this event. I, absolutely, KNOW I would have been waiting much longer to get those items from my trains. So, for this fact alone, that event paid off for me.
But I also just enjoyed playing it, since it's one of the few mini games I'm not bad at. It was pretty fun. I hoped to get to first place, but I got second. But it was still fun to try for first, and I was really happy with the barn upgrade and the Tcash.
I didn't get the booster someone here was talking about. The top 3 prizes were a rare zoo deck, for our group. I wouldn't have been as happy with that booster since I haven't collected many zoo animals yet. But I can see how that would have been a disappointment for someone who already had the animals.
On a funny/strange note: I checked out the leaderboard to see what the highest score was. I noticed there was one player in second place who had a level 19 town. I checked out his town. There was no way that person scored that many points.
Anyway, really fun event for me. I think Playrix made some good choices for rewards and such for this event (though I really dislike events where I have to produce tons of stuff like that). I suspect that the rewards were chosen by the difficulty of the game. I remember playing this game last year and I don't recall it being as easy as it was this time around. I cold be wrong though as last year was my first time playing it and I was, perhaps, just unpracticed.
One more thing about the balloons. I noticed some players saying they got fewer balloons, the more they played. I noticed this too. But what I also noticed, and this might play into it, is that I got fewer balloons when I got the binoculars. I tested this out, though, of course, there's no real way to "test" it since you can't redo the particular board. But I noticed that I, consistently, got more balloons when I skipped the binoculars than I got when I collected them. Toward the end, I made it a point to avoid the binoculars, and I got 8-10 balloons most times (unless I missed some; some were too high and got stuck up there where I couldn't jump high enough to get them).
By the time I was in the last day, I would only fall when I was going too fast and got careless or when I tried to do something tricky to get all the balloons. That didn't happen too often as those "tricky" moves paid off and I got good at hopping from building to building, using, both, the high arch method and the low arch (some of the balloons are lower and you won't get them if you use the high arch jump). I only had to do the moving platfom boards, maybe, 5 times in all the games I played, and I played 100+ times. But when I got them, I got moving platforms multiple times in one board. I didn't like those and I'm glad I didn't get too many of them. But when I do them I wait until the board is moving toward me and then jump. I never missed on those.
Nice to hear that you enjoyed the event. The pressure from the flower task took that away from me at the time. But this morning, 45 minutes before the end, I still played to use all my in stock rockets. Relaxed and with the right movement to launch the sheep. Then it went fine and I got nine to twelve balloons per round. Just shopped for decorations just before the end, all in all a positive end to this annual event.
Hi Zealous, The point you made regarding the level 19 player surrounded by 100+ players is a common thing these days. The “hoppers” often have a baby town fir when they have to leave their coop to go hopping. So it is possible this is what you encountered.
So glad you enjoyed the event, it’s nice to see something positive. Here’s hoping it continues.
I was also really happy with the decos for this event. I've been waiting for something I wanted for my town, and after Verne's experiments I had some tcash to spend on some nice decos, and just opened up some space. Very nice to have some stuff to add to my town.
Interesting about the "hopper" info. That doesn't make sense to me. How could the small town get all the resources? Do they give them to themselves from their other game? That would make sense I guess. If that's the case, it makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.
